Catapult Collective: FNS resources

FNS is the financial services training package within Catapult Collective. Depending on the unit, resources might contain structured online learning, assessment activities, PDF references and Excel workbooks. Exact files and assessment components vary by unit.

Catapult Collective FNS units are currently available through Catapult LMS only. Workbooks, references and supporting learner or assessor documents can still be downloaded through the LMS.

FNS learning and assessment

FNS units contain learner content organised into topics and pages, with images and interactive material. Depending on the unit, their assessment structure might include Activities, Knowledge questions and Projects. Workplace scenarios appear where the unit design uses them.

Learners can complete work in Catapult LMS, in a downloaded workbook or across both. The selected unit's instructions should state what to complete and where to submit it.

Excel workbooks

Depending on the unit, FNS packages might include learner workbooks, project workbooks, activity workbooks, model answers and assessor marking versions. Some workbooks contain multiple linked sheets, formulas, registers, dashboards and source data.

Before delivery:

• open every workbook in the software your learners will use
• identify learner and assessor versions
• test formulas, data validation, protected cells and print or export behaviour
• confirm the filename and submission instructions
• keep solutions and completed examples unavailable to learners

PDF references and external dependencies

PDF appendices might cover formulas, terminology, legislation, industry codes or templates. Check their purpose and currency against the selected unit.

Some FNS units rely on spreadsheet software, external websites, online services or current legal and industry information. Record any account, licence, privacy or network requirement before enrolment.

Mapping and assessor resources

FNS packages contain embedded mapping data. A separate or rendered mapping document might not be supplied. Assessor resources might include solutions, model answers or marking workbooks.

Pair each learner file with its assessor resource and check permissions in the implemented unit.
