 The Main Navigation Menu

Before building content, it is crucial to understand Edify’s fundamental structure. The Main Navigation Menu is how you will access all of the different areas in Edify. The main areas you will use are Sections and the Online Variant. You can also access the Unit Overview, Mapping, Media Library and History from here.

Unit Overview

The Unit Overview is the first page you will see when you open a Unit in Edify. It displays an overview of data pulled form training.gov.au.

Sections

Sections is your main workspace for building content. Sections are the foundational components that will hold your Assessments (yellow rectangles) and Supporting Info (purple rectangles). You can view and edit the internal structure of a section by clicking on it.

Online

The Online Variant is another important space. Any content you want to appear in the LMS will need to be added here (standard content will have been added by default).

Mapping

Mapping is where you will find a break down of the mapping relevant to the Unit you are working on. You can view all of the mapping here by expanding the sections using the arrow on the top right of the mapping section.

Media Library

The Media Library is where all of your attachments and images will be stored. You will also see at the top left that you can access three different sections. Unit specific is where the content added to this specific unit will be stored. Common Media is where you can place any attachments or images that need to be used across multiple Units. Archived where any archived media will be stored. If you haven’t added any media yet, the Media Library will be empty.
