How to Create a New Question

Questions can be added to any assessment section within the Edify Tool.  If you are creating a question from scratch, you can make it any question style.

To better understand the different question types, please refer to the Question Types article.

Steps to create a question:

1. Once you are within the Data Sections page of the unit, click on the Assessment section where you would like to create the question.

3. This will open the questions page—depending on which section you open, questions could be separated into topics (Sub-sections).
4. Drag a question component from the Component blocks area to where you want to add your question.

  Please note, If the question type is not in the component block, you can edit the section and add the component required through the cog in the top right-hand corner and add the section component. Refer to our New Assessment Section article to learn how to edit the section.

5. Once your question component block section is in the correct spot, enter the question and suggested answer.

6. When you have completed typing in the questions and answer, click Save in the bottom-right corner.
7. Add any relevant Mapping to the questions—refer to our mapping article.

This will complete the process and the question will be saved to the assessment section. The new question can be moved by dragging it above or below other questions in the section.

  Please note, Resources can have a maximum of 12 topics (Sub-sections) with a maximum of 25 questions per topic. Any section that does not have topics can have a maximum of 25 questions.

How to Edit an Existing Question

Once you are in the question that needs editing:

1. Locate and click on the pencil icon on the right-hand side of the question to be edited.

  Please note, If the question to be edited is a sub question within a scenario question, the scenario question must first be expanded by clicking on it.

2. Make the required changes. The mapping will stay the same unless you need to add to it.
3. Click the Save button.

How to Delete an Existing Question

Once you are in the question that needs editing:

1. Locate and click on the trash can icon on the right-hand side of the question to be edited.
2. A confirmation dialogue box will appear. Click the Yes button.
