Learner users are enrolled into units by Admins so that they can read through the learning materials and then attempt the assessments. After they have saved an answer to at least one assessment question inside a unit, they can then submit that unit for marking. While a unit has been submitted, it will be under the assigned trainer's control and so the learner will be unable to edit it. When the trainer has finished marking, if further work is required, the learner will be invited to review the trainer's comments and then revise their responses as needed.

Learners will receive an automated notification email when their account is set up, and they'll also receive an email whenever they're assigned to a new enrolment or a trainer marks one of the enrolment submissions the learner has made.
