The location of mapping and assessor guidance depends on the Catapult product and the unit. Check the online assessment areas and every downloaded assessment file.

Catapult Certify

Certify packages typically include a separate Unit mapping document. In Catapult LMS, a knowledge-question benchmark might be labelled Answer guide for trainer. Practical guidance and observation criteria are commonly held in the downloadable practical assessment instrument.

Depending on the unit, the package might also have logbooks, appendices or third-party documents. Open the full set.

Catapult V6

V6 resources contain mapping within the resource. Its presentation can differ between units. Benchmarks and assessor instructions might appear online or in downloaded project and practical evidence tools.

Project checklists are a common inclusion. Other evidence documents depend on the unit.

Catapult V5

V5 resources present mapping as an embedded table in Catapult LMS. Benchmarks and assessor guidance are mainly held inside the online assessment content.

Look inside each assessment area before deciding a guide is missing. Guidance and mapping might be embedded in the resource rather than supplied as separate downloads.

Catapult Collective

Collective resources need a training package and unit check.

• FNS units contain embedded mapping and might include assessor solutions or marking workbooks.

Catapult Collective units are currently available through Catapult LMS only. Do not treat the reference to printed products below as a Collective option.

Printed products

For a printed product, use the trainer or assessor guide and mapping supplied with the exact set. Confirm that the unit code, release and learner materials match before relying on the guidance.

Review the guidance as a set

Read the learner task beside the benchmark, marking criteria, observation record and mapping. Check that the references match and that the expected evidence is clear.

Report missing or conflicting guidance before assessment starts. Keep assessor-only material unavailable to learners.
