Interpreting user activity logs

The Catapult LMS saves all user activity within the system, regardless of the type of user they are or what actions they are taking. This is valuable for many reasons, such as for security and reporting concerns.

The terminology used in the system to record log data can, in some places, be considered overly technical. Below are some common phrases that the activity logger uses, and what they actually mean. If you find a phrase that doesn't make sense to you and isn't included in the list below, please send an email to support@catapult-elearning.com so that we can help you out and then include it here!

Catapult user log: What it means:
Jokulf Palson [Admin] created user session Jokulf Palson is logging in to the system
Audrey Hael [Trainer] deleted user session Audrey Hael is logging out of the system
Audrey Hael [Trainer] viewed dashboard trainers Audrey Hael is looking at the Trainer Dashboard
Jokulf Palson [Admin] created user role Trainer Jokulf Palson is toggling into their Trainer portal
Audrey Hael [Trainer] viewed user trainer learners Audrey Hael is looking at the Learners page from within the Trainer portal
Jokulf Palson [Admin] viewed user learner Valeros Psibane Jokulf Palson is looking at the Learner page for Valeros Psibane from within the Admin portal
Audrey Hael [Trainer] viewed user trainer learner enrolments

Audrey Hael is looking at the Enrolments page for a specific Learner from within the Trainer portal

Audrey Hael [Trainer] updating Performance tasks

Audrey Hael is saving an observation inside the Performance Tasks for a specific enrolment

Audrey Hael [Trainer] deleted Performance tasks

Audrey Hael deleted an observation inside the Performance Tasks for a specific enrolment
