  What is an Edify User?

An Edify User refers to an individual who has been granted the necessary permissions to log in and utilise the tool on behalf of their organisation. With the Edify tool, various members of an organisation can collaborate and modify resources. However, it's crucial to keep in mind that every user will have access to all the units in the account.

How to Create a New User

A simple and convenient method to create a new user is through cloning an existing user. This approach has the advantage of transferring all the permissions automatically. You can still remove any permissions, where appropriate.

There are two ways to Create a New User:

  1. Clone an Existing User
  2. Add a New User from Scratch

 

Steps to Clone an Existing User

  1. Click, AdministrationUsers. This will present a list of all Users within your Organisation. 



  2. Next to the User you want to Clone click, ActionsClone



  3. Enter the Details, Address and Settings information for the New User.
  4. Within the Permissions tab, you have the option to either unselect specific permissions or maintain the same settings as the user you cloned during this process.
  5. Click, Save. Once Saved, a Confirmation Email will be sent to the New User containing a unique link they can use to activate their account and set their password.

 

Steps to Create a New User from Scratch

  1. Click, AdministrationUsers. This will present a list of all Users within your Organisation. 



  2. Click the New User button on the top-right corner of the Users Page.

  3. Complete the User Creation Form and click, Save. Once Saved, a Confirmation Email will be sent to the New User containing a unique link they can use to activate their account and set their password.

  Please note, if you are creating a New User from scratch, you will be required to individually select the correct permissions.

 

How to Edit a User

It is possible to edit a user's information at any point in time. In the event that their email address is altered, a notification email will be sent to them, which includes a link for them to confirm their username and create a password if required.

To Edit a User, follow these steps: 

  1. Click AdministrationUsers. This will present a list of all Users within your Organisation. 



  2. Next to the User you want to Clone click, ActionsEdit



  3. You can Edit the User's Details, Address, Settings or Permissions on this page.
  4.  Click, Save.

 

How to Delete a User

To delete a user in Edify, you need to follow a two-step process. After completing the steps, the user will no longer have access to the system.

However, it's important to note that the user is not completely removed from Edify. This is to ensure that the user can be reinstated in the future if needed.

To Delete a User, follow these steps: 

  1. Click, AdministrationUsers. This will present a list of all Users within your Organisation. 



  2. Next to the User you want to Delete click, ActionsDelete
