We're happy to announce version 1.0.41 of Catapult Enhanced LMS.

This release includes some workflow improvements and bug fixes for Catapult LMS.

Improvements

  • Max Attempts Improvements: We have improved the workflow of when an enrolment reaches its maximum allowable attempts. Previously, when a new attempt was allowed after reaching the maximum allowable attempts, the system would incorrectly subtract from the total number of attempts recorded. The workflow has now been refined to allow users to make an additional attempt while accurately maintaining the count of attempts made. This ensures that all attempts are correctly tracked, providing a clearer and more reliable experience for both users and administrators.
  • 2FA Authentication Improvements: We have added several improvements to 2FA to improve stability and accessibility. We have developed more resilient API endpoints designed to withstand unexpected changes from our upstream provider. This improvement will significantly reduce disruptions and enhance the overall reliability of the 2FA process. To facilitate a smoother user experience, we have added the option to include mobile numbers in more user creation scenarios. This ensures all users are set up with a mobile number for 2FA, making the authentication process more seamless. We have also improved our internal reporting mechanisms related to 2FA.
  • 2FA Authentication Improvements for Admins: Administrators will now have the ability to quickly and efficiently unlock user accounts that become inaccessible after multiple failed 2FA attempts. This feature is designed to enhance user experience by minimizing downtime and ensuring that users can regain access to their accounts without unnecessary delays.
  • Trainer username now visible in Active Enrolments: We have included the addition of the Trainer Username column on the Active Enrolments page. This simplifies the process of generating CSV files for bulk import actions (coming in a future release).

Bug Fixes

  • Timestamp not updating on file uploads: We have addressed an issue where uploading a new file did not trigger an update to the timestamp after the file had been marked. This fix ensures that the timestamp accurately reflects the most recent upload, providing better tracking of file changes. It will also ensure when a new file is uploaded, the question will automatically be marked as "in progress. This allows trainers to mark the question without the student having to alter the text of the answer.
  • Not Applicable questions cause incorrect section colour: We have resolved an issue where marking a question as Not Applicable caused the entire section to display an incorrect state on the assessment page. This fix ensures that both trainers and learners can accurately view the current status of any section, enhancing clarity and improving the overall assessment experience.
